About VZ Grips:
VZ Grips are precisely CNC machined design grips for the Colt 1911, which combine beauty and the toughness of synthetics like G10 and Micarta.
These 1911 grips will fit most single stack clones such as Armscor, Ed Brown, Kimber, Nighthawk, Norinco, Springfield Armory, Wilson Combat, and a host of other 1911’s. They come in numerous configurations to fit all sizes which include Government, Commander and Officers.
Note: VZ Grips can be used on Taurus 1911, but minor fitting will need to be done by a gunsmith. These grips will not work with Para Ordinance or any other pistols that have tabs on the grips or is a double stack.
Many texture and color options are also provided so an individual can tailor their handgun to the task for which they will be using it. We also special ordered all the grips to have Ambi – Cuts. While most of them we have added Mag Release/ Thumb Notch.

About VZ Grips materials: Micarta® & G10 Micarta is a trade name that was given to thermoset composites back in the 1890’s by Westinghouse. We chose Micarta® and G10 for three reasons:
- Durability: They have a higher tensile strength than steel. It is used in storm shelters to provide state of the art protection rooms to ward off the threats from tornadoes. It is also being tested to armor aircraft cockpit doors.
- Impervious to changes in temperature: This material will not swell, warp, or crack with changes in temperature. It is an excellent insulator against heat. Unlike other so called high-end grips on the market, ours stays cool and comfortable.
- Texture: When milled, Micarta and G10 gives a highly slip resistant surface.
